It's the most wonderful time of the year! Forget Christmas and New Year's, it's eggnog time! ![eggnog.jpg]()
During no other time of the year is it appropriate to ride around in your conversion van drinking the most delicious, creamy beverage of choice for a delightful December - eggnog, baby (alcohol free, of course)! Bring it!
So, how do you bring it? Or, make it, that is?
You will need to pull your conversion van right into a supermarket parking lot and pick yourself up the following items: eggs, one can of condensed milk, one quart of milk, vanilla extract, heavy whipping cream, nutmeg and salt. Then, head back to your van, put your Santa hat on, turn on the holiday tunes and do the following:
- Beat the eggs and then mix in the condensed milk, teaspoon of vanilla extract, quart of milk and a pinch of salt.
- Beat one-third of a pint of heavy whipping cream until 'soft peaks' form. Got that? Soft peaks!
- Fold it into the egg and milk mixture and sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Refrigerate and be sure to serve chilled.
Don't just serve in any glass either. Make it festive. Don't have festive glasses? Buy red and green plastic cups! Or, buy some pretty glasses with mistletoe or Santa Claus on them and store them for this one time of year that you will use them. It's worth it! You've got room to store them in the back of your cabinets in your trailer.
You've also got a television. When you're done making the eggnog while whistling to some holiday music, it's time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. What better way to do that than to turn on your favorite holiday movie. You've got a television. Use it. You've got the eggnog now. Drink it. Don't like drinking alone?
That leads us to the most important next step. Invite people over. You've got room in your trailer. Introduce yourself to your "neighbors." What better way to make friends than to say "Hey, Happy Holidays! I just made a big batch of eggnog - no alcohol - we are driving, after all. Would you like to come on over and have a glass? I've got room! Check this van out. And, I've got glasses too! What else would I put in my cabinets?"
See? Easy!
Keep traveling, rinse and repeat.
More importantly, happy holidays. Bottoms up! Enjoy!
